Fundraising Health Check

What is a Fundraising Health Check?

A Fundraising Health Check is a practical, hands-on review of your fundraising activities.

It includes time to understand your organisation, a full day of focused on-site support, and a detailed improvement plan to help you make meaningful changes.

The aim is to help you strengthen your fundraising, identify opportunities for growth and build a more sustainable fundraising strategy.

What we cover

Depending on where you would find most value, this can include:

  • Review your current income streams

  • Review your fundraising strategy and resources

  • Explore how fundraising is viewed across the organisation

  • Assess your communications and case for support

  • Identify opportunities for growth

  • Test and review your donor journey

  • Assess your fundraising systems and processes

  • Review fundraising skills and capacity

  • Consider external partnerships and funding opportunities

  • Create a practical improvement plan

What happens next?

After your Fundraising Health Check, you will receive a detailed improvement plan, proportionate to your organisation's size, resources and ambitions, outlining:

  • What is working well (strengths)

  • Where improvements can be made (gaps)

  • Quick wins (easy changes)

  • Immediate priorities (what to tackle first)

  • Opportunities for future growth (longer-term development)

  • Suggested tools or resources, where appropriate (how to support the changes)

This gives you a clear, practical plan to move forward with confidence, with the option to ask for further support if you need it.

What will it cost?

Fundraising Health Check: £900

This includes:

  • A one-hour Teams call to discuss what you’d like to achieve

  • One full day on-site at your organisation

  • A detailed improvement plan with clear, practical recommendations. The plan is tailored to your needs and gives you a structured roadmap to strengthen your fundraising process.

Half-day follow up: £250

If you would like support implementing any of the changes, you can book follow up time in half-day blocks. Follow up sessions can be used for activities such as developing your fundraising strategy, reviewing fundraising materials, strengthening donor stewardship, identifying new income opportunities, or implementing your action plan.

What to expect on the day

Your Fundraising Health Check is designed to be supportive, practical and collaborative. Before the Health Check takes place, we will arrange a one hour Teams call to understand what you would like to achieve and to make sure the day is tailored to your needs. The day will be shaped around your organisation, but it typically includes:

A morning review and conversation - We start by understanding your organisation, your case for support and reviewing your current income streams. We'll look at your fundraising strategy (if you have one) and any fundraising materials you'd like us to review, helping us understand what's working well and where there may be opportunities to strengthen your approach.

Observing your processes in action - We'll explore how donor information is recorded, managed and used, identifying opportunities to strengthen stewardship and improve the supporter journey across your fundraising activities. We'll also review your fundraising processes and offer practical guidance to help you maximise every opportunity.

Meeting the people involved in fundraising - Where appropriate, we'll meet the people involved in fundraising to understand the current opportunities and challenges, see how fundraising works in practice and identify where additional guidance or support could make the biggest difference.

Practical advice throughout the day - As we review your fundraising activity, we'll offer suggestions, guidance and examples to help you make improvements straight away. The day is relaxed, collaborative and tailored to the needs of your organisation.

A clear summary of next steps - Before we leave, we'll talk through the key themes from the day and agree the areas we'll focus on in your Fundraising Health Check report, ensuring the recommendations are tailored to your organisation's priorities and ambitions..
