Hiring Health Check

What is a Hiring Health Check?

A Hiring Health Check gives you a full day of focused support to review your current recruitment practices and identify clear, practical improvements. This is a flexible and personal service that can take place online or on site at your organisation.

The aim is to help you strengthen your hiring process, improve candidate experience and give your team the confidence and tools they need to recruit well.

What we cover

Depending on what you need most, your Health Check can include:

  • Reviewing your end-to-end recruitment process

  • Checking your systems, tools and any ATS setup

  • Assessing your job descriptions and adverts

  • Reviewing language for inclusion and accessibility

  • Mapping out a more efficient and fair shortlisting process

  • Improving your candidate communication and experience

  • Training or supporting hiring managers and interview panels

  • Identifying areas where bias may appear and how to reduce it

  • Preparing for any upcoming recruitment campaigns

  • Creating simple templates or guidance for your team

What happens next?

After the Health Check, you will receive a detailed improvement plan that clearly outlines:

  • What is working well

  • Where improvements can be made

  • Recommended actions

  • Any suggested tools or templates

  • A clear, practical roadmap to move forward

  • Immediate priorities to focus on first

  • Quick wins that can improve your process straight away

This gives you a structured plan to follow, with the option to ask for further support if you need it.

What will it cost?

Hiring Health Check: £1200

This includes:

  • One hours Teams call to discuss what you’d like to achieve

  • One full day on site at your organisation

  • A detailed improvement plan with clear, practical recommendations. The plan is tailored to your needs and gives you a structured roadmap to strengthen your recruitment process.

Half day follow up: £300

If you would like support implementing any of the changes, you can book follow up time in half-day blocks. Follow ups can be used for tasks such as rewriting job descriptions, reviewing recruitment materials, training hiring managers or updating your processes.

What to expect on the day

Your Hiring Health Check is designed to be supportive, practical and collaborative. Before the Health Check takes place, we will arrange a one hour Teams call to understand what you would like to achieve and to make sure the day is tailored to your needs. The day will be shaped around your organisation, but it typically includes:

A morning review and conversation - We start by understanding your current recruitment approach. This may include looking at recent campaigns, discussing your challenges and goals, and reviewing any materials you already use such as job descriptions or adverts.

Observing your processes in action - If helpful, we can walk through how applications are handled, how shortlisting works or how interviews are prepared. This helps identify small changes that can make a big difference.

Meeting the people involved in hiring - We may speak with hiring managers or team members who support recruitment so we can understand how things work in practice and where extra guidance or support might be useful.

Practical advice throughout the day - As we review your processes, we will offer suggestions, guidance and examples to help you make improvements straight away. The day is relaxed, open and tailored to your needs.

A clear summary of next steps - Before we leave, we will talk through the key themes from the day and check what you would like us to focus on within your improvement plan.
